Asahi Dojo Logo- what does it mean?

There are a few elements and levels to explain and describe the Asahi Dojo logo.  We will begin in the center and work our way out. In the middle resides the tomoye the Japanese symbol of the Revolution of the Universe.  This states that we are constantly in motion as is the world in which we live.  This connection enables us to generate power and energy when needed.  Next the tomoye is surrounded in a blue to white gradient.  This represents the universe and our oneness with it. Next are the 4 points or corners connected by arcs. These corners represent corners of sanctuary. This allows us to escape an attack yet stay close enough to defend ourselves if needed.  These are our safety zones.  Instead of moving in a straight line, we utilize movement in small arcs that generate more power with each movement.  Finally all the above are encompassed by a circle. A circle has no beginning or end - very much like life and our aikido training. This circle also represents the ideology of aikido and its execution: never to meet anything head on, rather blend with it.
